Positive: Great hotel overall

Negative: Service did not meet Raffles standards this time. Housekeeping was slow to respond and on one occasion failed to send staff after a cleaning request was made. I believe there is shortage if staff at he moment. In the restaurant, a pasta station attendant was unhelpful, asking me to return in 5 minutes before taking an order, and the carving meat station offered disproportionately small portions. The hotel is adjacent to W Dubai, where loud music from events continued until 2-3 am; this is not attributable to Raffles but is worth noting when booking.
