Summary: A Bit Underwhelmed We were disappointed with our stay at Secrets Lanzarote. We chose it for the reputation of the Secrets brand and had high expectations, but the experience did not feel as premium as anticipated. The distinction between standard and Preferred guests was particularly frustrating. The best pool and many premium facilities appeared to be reserved for Preferred guests, while numerous additional experiences and amenities came at an extra cost. This made us feel like secondary guests rather than valued customers. We also struggled to find sunbeds in the morning, found the towel system inconvenient, and rarely used the main pool because it was extremely cold despite being advertised as heated. Pool service was limited, with staff rarely checking whether we wanted drinks, and food was not permitted by the pool, meaning we had to leave whenever we wanted a snack. Housekeeping was the biggest disappointment. Toiletries and room amenities were often not replenished unless requested through the app, and some requests had to be repeated several times. This was not what we expected from a hotel of this standard. Overall, the hotel fell short of the premium experience we expected from the Secrets brand. Service, housekeeping and the treatment of standard guests all need improvement.
